Video Description

The leader of an after school group is surprised to hear all of the negative things that the kids have to say about themselves. So, she decides that for the Parents’ Show each student will have to demonstrate something about themselves they are proud of. Viewers see how each child learns to think positively and is able to find a talent or accomplishment they can point to with pride. Program emphasizes the power of positive self-talk and encourages kids to concentrate on what they can do, not what they can’t do. Helps kids realize that one accomplishment can give them the confidence to accomplish even more. After viewing this program students will discover that there are things about themselves they can point to with pride, understand that self-esteem is a feeling inside that makes them feel good about themselves, and realize how positive “self-talk” helps build self-esteem.
